Since 1979, Niels Shoe Meulman or better known as “Shoe” started his career as a graffiti artist, quickly becoming one of the best before the age of 18. “Shoe” throughout the 1980’s was a staple in the graffiti world, interacting with art legends such as Dondi, Rammellzee, Haze, Quik and Keith Haring. Recently at the Incase curated gallery, Project Space, “Shoe” presents his new exhibition “Caligraffiti Throw-Ups” which featured carbon acrylic paint on linen canvas highlighting the loves in his life: Baseball, mayhem, and cosmic unconsciousness.
