In the late 1990’s, the Internet landscape was a relatively sparse one for most subcultures. Enter the year 2000 and British-based website Crooked Tongues. What started as an electronic gathering point eventually became its own brand with sneaker collaborations and now a full-fledged store. A pinnacle part of Crooked Tongues’ growth and development has been self-professed fanboy Gary Warnett. He is hands down one of the most knowledgeable personalities on footwear, B movies, blank tees, Champion and music among other random affixations. We took the opportunity to interview him at the Crooked Tongues 10th Anniversary in London a few weeks ago and gain a better understanding of Crooked Tongues’ journey.
