German artist Christian Schoeler has designed a series of handpainted leather bags in

collaboration with Louis Vuitton designer Paul Helbers. Inspired by 19th century painting, the bags will be available in very limited numbers across three styles (a clutch bag, a larger holdall and a smaller rucksack). Schoeler has explained that the bags represent an artists’ paint-splattered backpack, “like an accidental customization.”
