Dr. Romanelli's The ³Rx² Collection

Taking his techniques of reinvention and reconstruction to a whole new level, Dr. Romanelli has initiated a fruitful collaboration with celebrated furniture designer Doron Silverman (NOBU, The Thompson Hotels, SLS, etc.). Constantly pushing the limits of convention, these two artists have combined their talents to create a line of ground-breaking chairs – classic in structure, but totally unique in aesthetic. Dr. Romanelli drew upon his noted skills as “reconstruction” craftsman, taking recycled vintage fabrics and reworking these diverse materials into one-of-a-kind upholstery. Each resulting piece reflects the past while fitting beautifully into the present – the stories contained in each scrap of material finding new life in an entire new medium.
