In a busy weekend for art, Lance Armstrong held a conference at the Montálban Theater regarding the launch of his latest bicycle meets art endeavor, the Stages Touring Art Exhibition. The whole initiative will comprise of over 21 artist’s from all walks of life, each with different backgrounds and disciplines. However one thing the list of artist doesn’t look is star-power with a quick glance at the selected few representing some of the most well-known artist’s in this current generation. They include KAWS and Barry McGee (who both designed custom bikes) as well as Takashi Murakami, Damien Hirst, Shepard Fairey, Tom Sachs, Geoff McFetridge, Raymond Pettibon, José Parlá, Ed Ruscha, Christopher Wool, Dzine, Eric White, Kenny Scharf, Os Gêmeos, Marc Newson, Rosson Crow, Taryn Simon, JR, Yoshitomo Nara, Suejin Chung, Lari Pittman, Aaron Young and Jules de Balincourt. The whole effort ultimately benefits a worthy cause of the Lance Armstrong Fund and its LIVESTRONG Global Cancer Campaign.
