Undercover designer Jun Takahashi has set up individual themes for his womenswear and menswear collections for Spring/Summer 2009 entitled “Grace”, “Neoboy” and “Poptonez” respectively. All three lines feature distinctive names reflecting the exact inspiration behind each theme. Poptonez reflects a tribute to the style of former Sex Pistols front man Johnny Rotten, during the times of Public Image Ltd. while Takahashi’s “Neoboy” collection is derived from a poem by Patti Smith with the same title coming in punk-infused, slim silhouettes portraying a minimalistic elegance throughout.
