Jose Parla’s first solo show in New York City opened up a few days ago at the Christina Grajales Gallery. The space showcases Parla’s graffiti roots meet abstract artwork with a kaleidoscope of layered colors and textures. The exhibition features an installation of wood, canvas and ceramic pieces building upon his themes of story telling through historical references. The show is open now until December 20th, 2008.
