2007 was a significant year in street fashion because it was the year that streetwear connoisseurs in the States officially went back to wearing basic colors such as black. Fans of the Japanese label, A Bathing Ape, who are tired of all the colorful prints might rejoice when seeing this news. A Bathing Ape has released a new line called the “Black Label” which the clothes in this collection will be predominately – black. Of course, the Bape camos and logos which has made the brand popular will still be around but this time in a more subtle way. The “Black Label” has been released and is now available only at the Bapeclusive store in Aoyama, Japan.
The Nike All Condition Gear or better known as Nike ACG is known for its ability to bare and resist the elements. Here is the latest from the ACG line which is a Tallac Shell Jacket. This jacket features Ripstop nylon material which is resistant to ripping and tearing. This material is often used in parachutes, and hot air ballons. The jacket also has a removable hood and comes in three different colors. If you’re looking for a technical jacket that looks good at the same time, this might be the jacket you’re looking for. Available now at Atmos Tokyo.
There comes a time when a brand becomes popular enough or has a big enough fan base to open a flagship store. The Japanese label NEXUS VII has gotten to that level this year. They have recently opened Vlack which is located in Yokohama, Japan on January 3rd. Their “Deeper Than Shadow” concept is to give customers a dark but luxurious feeling when shopping for some of their well made items. To commemorate the opening of the store, they even collaborated with Stussy on a tee which we previously showcased.
