The creative collective of Kai and Sunny form the basis of the British clothing label Call of the Wild. With previous design experience working for clients such as Levis, Honda, Toyota, Vodafone and Miller, Kai and Sunny have produced a collection of understated yet creative garments. The Chukka has become the staple point shoe for Vans as the shoe continues to grow in popularity over the years. This time Vans Vault has released the “Zig Zag Chukka Boot,” featuring a knitted zig zag side pattern. The shoe comes in two color ways; Black/White/Grey and Brown/Blue/White, and is currently available at Flauge for 10,500 yen.
Popular Skateboard brand Rogue status has released some new gear for the upcoming colder months. The company has put out four new pieces including a sweatshirt, and three crews. The pieces are limited edition and available now at Rogue Status.
Nike’s latest Air Max Release is the “Friendly Football Air Max 1.” The shoe features an Orange mesh upper an elephant print backing with blue accents and a white base. The shoe is expected to release on January 28th and will be available at Essense.
The contemporary artist Takashi Murakami is known for his signature “Superflat” art style as well as commercial projects with Louis Vuitton and Kanye West. He has painted some paintings from last year which are now made available in a print format. The paintings include “Mamu Came From the Sky”, “Planet 66”, “Planet 66: Summer Vacation”, and “Yoshiko and the Creatures from Planet 66”. These will be available at the Kaikai Kiki store on Honeyee starting January 25th.
