New Balance Super Team 33 Part 4: Elements Collection

With less than a month away, New Balance has offered a preview into Part 4 of the Super Team 33 project. The Super Team 33 collection represents various regionally designed packs of sneakers available in 33 of the world’s finest sneaker retailers. Previous regional designers included NB USA, NB Japan and NB EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa). Part 4 has enlisted the talents of New Balance Asia/Pacific to create this Elements Collection. The Elements Collection features three New Balance 1400’s based on the following themes, Fire/Steel, Earth/Wood and Water. Playing on the culturally significant notion of yin-yang, each creation embodies a sense of serenity and completion. Each sneaker features detailed designs which can be seen on the outsole, tongue and insole. A defining characteristic is the use of a Chinese character to mark each element. The Super Team 33 Elements Collection will release Saturday, October 20th with a price of approximately $200 USD.

The Nike Air Max 95 Doernbecher Children’s Hospital has recently been revealed with this year’s Nike Doernbecher Freestyle 4 set to take place very soon. Nike has created an eye catching Air Max 95 much like the Air Jordan 2 that is also included for this event. The 95 features a blue upper with a red stripe pattern above the midsole inspired by the American flag. Other symbols can be seen in the form of a star along the top lace hole and an embroidered tongue. Perhaps the defining characteristic of the sneaker is the use of emotionally captivating words etched into the side depicting the emotions and feelings of the child designers. The silver lighter features engraving on the outside case while the inner body includes a honeyee logo and additional logo. Accessories maker hobo collaborated with honeyee to create a Horse Buckle Key Chain. This key chain much like it’s name suggests utilizes a buckle similar to the one seen in horse racing. Puma Re-Bike

$200 later, feast your eyes on the Puma Re-Bike project. Spreading their love of bikes, Puma has launched the Re-Bike project in partnership with the Bicycle Film Festival and as a result some of the industries leading magazines were called in to create a $200 bicycle. The bicycles were instructed to be designs that best represents their magazine’s personality. Another catch was that bikes could only be made of recycled bike parts. The bicycles can be seen at all Bicycle Film Festival venues. Following the conclusion of the BFF, the bikes will each be auctioned off. A wealth of details can be seen at the Puma Re-Bike project.
