We previously had a look at several forward-thinking slip-on models from fashion mogul Marc Jacobs, but for Fall 2007 the veteran shoe designer was thinking beyond simply etching out wing tip Eras and Old Skools. For his latest Vans collection, Marc Jacobs has taken the classic Authentic and Slip On silhouettes in canvas and added a rubber toe cap — something we’ve never seen before — and with the colors he’s chosen it doesn’t look half bad. The collection also includes two tastefully colored Sk8-His. The Marc Jacobs x Vans collection is available exclusively at Marc by Marc Jacobs stores. Each pair carries an $85USD price tag.
First launched in 2004 in Boston, RUGBY by Ralph Lauren is a concept derived and inspired by American colleges where the sport of rugby often correlated with Polos. Now for the first time, Ralph Lauren will be bringing their RUGBY line which was previously exclusive to American stores to Colette in Paris. A selection of the 2007 RUGBY line will be available at Colette during the World Cup of Rugby (which is held in France) between September 3rd and September 15, 2007. In addition to the Rugby collection, Ralph Lauren and Colette will be partnering up to release four limited edition Rugby shirts and a special RUGBY ball. Only 50 of these shirts (two styles for men and two styles for women) will be available at Colette and at the RUGBY New York store during this time.
