Dr. Romanelli will soon be releasing his newest collection called “Surgical Strike” which will feature reconstructed vintage military garments with top quality leather and details. These new pieces will be releasing this week at Sophnet. in Tokyo. In addition, look out for a collaboration between Lupe Fiasco and Dr. Romanelli coming this Fall.

Bounty Hunter along with toy maker Secret Base be releasing their new toy DX Sukerukun toy in August. This time, the new DX Sukerukun character will have a spike helmet and comes in a transparent material. There will also be a Bounty Hunter t-shirt associated with this release which comes in black and white. The toy will retail for 16,590 Yen.

Colette has created a special t-shirt for the release of the new Disney Pixar animated film, Ratatouille. The t-shirt features Colette’s blue dots and the world’s first gourmet cooking rat. In addition to the t-shirt, Colette will decorate their storefront with Remy. The shirt which is printed on Base Control base t-shirt is limited to only 100 pieces and is now available at their online store for 65 euros.

Head Porter Plus’ Fall/Winter 2007 Collection has begun to grace the shelves of various stores. Some of the pieces seen in the collection include a Stripe Button-up, a Fragment Design x Head Porter Plus Scofield Button-Up, a Waffle Long-Sleeve and a Raglan Crown T-shirt. For bottoms, HPP have included a pair of relaxed fit raw denim devoid of any backpocket markings and a pair of chinos highlighted by yellow contrast stitching and zippered pockets. The collection is currently available in Japan.

Fashion designers Marc Jacobs, Karl Lagerfeld and Alber Elbaz were recently on hand at Colette to stand side by their Simpsons styled cartoon versions. Prior to the release of The Simpsons movie, various portraits were created blurring the line between the real world and cartoons. Each portrait featured the aforementioned designers together with The Simpsons family in various fashion settings. The illustrations were created by none other then Matt Groening with Julius Petite in charge of the artwork. The pieces are featured in the August 2007 issue of Harper’s Bazaar magazine.
