New to the hybrid game is New Balance with the creation of these 574 Zips. The sneakers combine one of the most successful NB model’s ever, the 574 alongside the new age mechanical technology known as Zip. Given the code name M8574, New Balance offers fans a contemporary update on a classic model with an estimated release date in the fourth quarter of 2007. Expect further colorways in the future.

“For The Love of God” Diamond Skull by Damien Hirst represented a monumental piece by the critically acclaimed British artist who’s life/death themed pieces have always garnered a lot of attention. The $100 million dollar skull features a 2,156 gram platinum skull encrusted with 8,601 flawless diamonds. The skull’s exhibition at London’s White Cube Gallery closed on July 7th, unfortunately no buyer stepped up to the plate. Supertouch offers an in depth look in the making of this skull, which until now was a mysterious process.

Devilock’s upcoming Fall/Winter 2007 collection has recently been reveal. Much suited to the upcoming Fall/Winter season are a variety of jackets which are perfect to brace you from the elements. The range of jackets include the Nylon Trip and Nylon Down jacket which both feature waterproof bodies and zippers. Other items in the line up include moleskin skinny pants, distressed denim, t-shirts, hoodies and accessories such as bags and caps. The items will release in phases starting in October.

The Jack Purcell sneaker has had a long history. The sneaker was designed by the athlete Jack Purcell and was first produced by BF Goodrich in 1935. Now, Converse will be collaborating with Boston based sneaker boutique, Bodega, for a limited edition Jack Purcell Mid. The new sneaker will feature distressed leather as well as flannel detailing, bolt eyelets and will come in a special packaging. The shoes will be only available at Bodega with an estimated retail price of $120.
Vancouver’s premier sneaker boutique, Livestock, will be releasing their very on New Era Fitted caps. These New Era feature the Livestock logo on the front and comes in five different colors: black, yellow, blue, red and purple. They are now available at Livestock Vancouver and Toronto.
