Literary Sport continues to redefine activewear through thoughtful minimalism, this time with a refined take on Xero Shoes’ cult-favorite barefoot sandal.
The latest shoes to be revealed in Active’s Drop Sneakers Not Bombs campaign are the eS Accel TT and eS Arcane. Both of these shoes will be available for the first time ever through Active and DSNB. The Accel TT is a slimmer, lighter version of the classic eS model, whereas the Arcane is a new model based on an older eS mid with updated technology. The Arcane will see widespread release come Spring 2008. The top “tear away” material on both shoes is based on the traditional Middle East Keffiyeh pattern and symbolizes the Anti War view of DSNB. The Keffiyeh material on the shoe actually tears away as one skates the shoe to reveal a sneaker/bomb print that lays underneath.

Cassette’s latest Summer 2007 Collection have started to make its way around the world. Some of the summer 2007 Homme collection has been made available in their online shop including their Tour de France inspired tee to mark the start of the race next month.
Although some may not immediately create the strongest association between pumpkins and America, when the Fall months roll around there is no doubt it is a mainstay in America culture as we see carved pumpkins litter the streets and make their way to the table at the end of a turkey dinner in the form of a pie. This part of the adidas Flavors of the World Tour definitely yields some of the boldest sneakers.
The first up to bat is the aptly chosen, Americana. The Americana features a dark leather upper with an interesting texturized front toe bumper that is meant to resemble the ridges of a pumpkin. The back heel features pumpkin embroidery, while the collar is clad in orange, black and yellow plaid. Tri-colored laces in the aforementioned plaid color scheme and a ghoulish jack o’ lantern inspired lace lock round off the package.
Next up is the Rod Laver Vintage model. No doubt the plaid effect dominates he entire shoe, but little details should not go undetected such as the carefully placed jack o’ lantern emblem on the back midsole and the brightly colored orange squiggly lined sole.
Look for these to release in October to coincide with Halloween.

Here are pictures of an upcoming MF Doom x Nike Dunk High SB slated to be released in the future. The sneakers which are designed by Frenel feature a gray and black upper. The front toe box is comprised of ostrich leather and the shoe is highlighted throughout with 3M accents. Keith Hufnagel just released pictures of an upcoming skate deck collaboration with fellow Californian brand Stussy. The skate decks feature the iconic Stussy skull logo with the words HUF blazed across the mouth. These will be available in three different colorways, green, gray and aqua. Also previewed appears a similarly themed New Era Cap with an upside down skull with HUF written over the mouth.

Levi’s Fenom division have recently unveiled their 2 latest models of the Fenom Sapphire Disco Silver Stitch. Using the 505 (straight slim) and the baggier 201 as the template, these Sapphire Disco Silver Stitch jeans feature colored rhinestones along the seams and special zip pocket. It’s no secret that creator of Bathing Ape, Nigo has always been a fan of comics. It was exemplified by the Marvel x Bapesta pack which released last year. Now the latest comic-inspired products from Bathing Ape include these collaborative sweaters with DC Comics. There’s no doubt that DC Comics over the years have produced some of the biggest and most popular characters of all time. These Batman, Flash and Superman sweaters will be released this fall. The Batman hoody will retail for approximately $439 while the crew neck The Flash and Superman sweaters will go for approximately $351.

Famed Hong Kong toy maker, Michael Lau has teamed up with Nike to produce a series of figures modeled after the Nike Pro athletes. Nike Pro, a line of athletic compression wear designed to enhance your performance in your respective domain is made of Dri-Fit materials as well as strategic vents to encourage a cooler body temperature. The three figures that will be available include Kobe Bryant, Ronaldino and Roger Federer. The relationship between Michael Lau and Nike has been in existence for over three years so it was only natural for Michael Lau to take interest in this project due to his love of sports and soccer. Right now, we only have pictures of the unpainted prototypes. There should be more pictures and information coming in the following week.
A comprehensive look into the upcoming Dunks for 2007/2008 have recently been released. The preview goes over the staple of lows and highs with the addition of a new model by Nike, the Dunkesto High. At first glance these releases seem to posses quite simple colorways. Check back for more details as individual release dates approach.
