This July, New Balance will release two limited edition “Flag†versions of their 574 model. Designed by the NB Japan team, the two models are inspired by the American Football World Cup, which is held every four years. This year, the competition will take place throughout the month of July in Kawasaki, Japan. Both U.S and Sweden models will hit U.S soil July 4th and will retail for $65.

DJ Clark Kent, Dj Emz, Grand Master Gaz, Hawaii Mike, and Udi all got together at Nike Headquarters with the monumental task of choosing the top 100 AF1’s of all time. Not only were some heavy hitters weighing in on their favorite AF1’s, they had to combine their favorites with the favorites with others to get down to 100. This was surely going to lead to some head butting especially regarding the Invisible Air Force 1’s. Watch pure unadulterated Air Force 1 emotion at it’s finest.

Yesterday marked the release of the limited edition book authored by Puma footwear designer Mihara Yasuhiro. The Microzine held event featured live DJ sets by The Klaxons, James Righton and Simon Taylor. The subject of the book is a celebration of Japanese culture and sneaker design. It also features artwork and photography that created the basis for many of Mihara’s designs which can also be seen within the book.
On June 2nd, 120 pairs of these Fred Perry x SWEAR bowling shoes will be released. This union features the classic 55 year old Fred Perry brand coupled with London based footwear maker SWEAR, who has a wealth of experience creating premium footwear in their 13 year existence. With only 120 pairs worldwide, distribution will see it arrive in some of the best high-end boutiques in the world in Colette (Paris), Dover Street Market (London), Opening Ceremony (New York City), and Zozo Town online in Japan.

With the recent release of sample playing cards from Fragment comes another release of the same sort with Gallery 1950 getting into the action as well with their own set of branded playing cards. Unlike the Fragment cards, these G1950 cards feature a conventional two colored design.
