If you know about surfing then, you know about Duke Kahanamoku. To many he is the father of modern surfing as we know it and Vans is releasing a pair of shoes inspired by the man himself. These Authentics feature a red and white colorway that looks like an old school Hawaiian print. The heel tag says, “Duk Kahanamoku surfer” with a longboard logo. The insole features 1950’s like artwork with a depiction of Duke, a surfboard and a seal that says “The Official Duke Kahanamoku Surfers”. Expect these sometime during the third quarter of this year.
