The United States is set to receive it’s first North American Evisu flagship store this summer in New York’s SOHO district. This new store will give it’s shoppers the ability to acquire products never before available directly to the US public. Much like the Evisu stores in Japan, this new store will provide demonstrations of Evisu’s trademark Gullwing paintings on denim as well as give customers the chance to personalize their own denim.
Although this stores purpose is obviously a retailer first and foremost, it can also be considered an ever evolving gallery of Asian culture as well. There are plans to do exhibitions promoting various Asian artists with inaugural artist being large scale oil painter Simon Birch of Hong Kong. Concluding the list of interactive features is a proposed screening area to give some customers their first taste of Japanese films.

The cross branding of Japanese beer maker Sapporo has extended far beyond the reaches of its image as strictly a beer maker. A few days ago we previewed part of the Sapporo x Ciano Farmer Collection more specifically the denim line. This line was created exclusively for the Sapporo Inspired Runway Show in Miami, May 4th. Now we present another look at the upcoming line involving outerwear and tops. There’s definitely a strong emphasis on Japanese inspired graphics which may be a theme that Sapporo intend to keep based on their heritage.
After seeing to what extent Sapporo has approached this new project, perhaps we met their hard luggage set with Zero Halliburton with a bit less surprise then is warranted due to the fact that they’ve done a lot of surprising in the past week here. These lasered aluminum pieces are certain to draw attention when you rip your Sapporo luggage off the carousel or when you take your laptop out to do some work, but most importantly you have the piece of mind have having your goods travel in safety.
Sapporo’s foray into the fashion industry has been nothing short of remarkable as they have already put together such as extensive collection in their first time at bat. It seems as though Sapporo is on their way to creating a sustainable brand outside of the beer industry.

Off the heels of their 25th Anniversary Pack comes these Easter themed sneakers, available in both low and hi’s.
