Upper Deck, long known as the leader in authentic signed memorabilia from its team of exclusive athletes such as Jordan, LeBron and Kobe, will be dropping signed player editions of the Zoom Kobe I on Thursday via www.UpperDeckStore.com or by calling 1-800-551-8220. While player edition shoes are hard to find, securing ones signed by an athlete can prove to be a difficult if not impossible task, even for the most accomplished sneaker collector. Now sneakerheads can add such high-valued items to their collection while having the peace of mind that the signature is real through Upper Deck Authenticated’s patented and exclusive 5-step autograph authentication process. These shoes will be in Kobe’s size 14 and quantities are extremely limited and will be sold first-come, first-serve at a price of $1,499.99. Look out for more sneakers from other Superstars such as Lebron and Jordan as Upper Deck expands their signed shoe program throughout 2007.

Playford comes from Tokyo and interestingly enough, and nice enough for a change, it is not another tee shirt start up label with a full line coming soon. Playford are a multi discipline design agency that have their forte in product design and have decided to bring out a few pieces of apparel. This is an example of Playford is all about, a piece called their Tokyo Camouflage Print Hoody, part of their Spring / Summer 07 collection. This collection is the second half of their Fifth Anniversary Series, for which they re-examined and reaffirmed their stance as the true representative of Tokyo culture, being one of the very few brands constituted by a Tokyo-born-and-bred team. This concept was materialized into the Camouflage Print, a camouflage collage of Tokyo buildings and city constructions. The hoody is made of a suede-touch French-Terry fabric.
Playford is currently available at TAB DEVICE and T6M in Tokyo, RPM in Hong Kong, and DOUBLE PARK in Hong Kong.
