Cover Story: Album Cover Art

Cover Story: Album Cover Art

Often over-looked these days (and with good reason) is the lack of cultural story telling previously associated with the art seen on album covers. With online music stores becoming the norm and gathering steam, digital forms are quickly over taking the once conventional form of physical media. Records often provide more then just the obvious aural capacity for storytelling. Cover Story: Album Cover Art looks at the stories associated with album covers, a detailed look into the surrounding environments and styles of the record itself. The book is available now through Wax Poetics.

For only the second time in its lifetime, the Reebok CL has not looked like a shoe suitable only for seniors rocking out to Wii bowling in their senior citizen home. Japanese brand Doarat created two colorways in buttery leather with some bright midsoles. Ironically the midsoles appear to fit the whole package pretty well. Available at eproze on December 14th.
