Cold Canadian recess’ saw kids running around in the snow with the likes of Sorels or some cheap SAAN store derivatives. The recent release of Visvim’s Decoy Duck Boot Hi is the rich mans Sorel, ironically most kids loathed wearing their winter boots cause they were lame and loathed the cool kids rocking their sneakers. Their socks got wet but they were still so cool. Three different colorways are available, priced at ¥35,700 JPY (approximately $320 USD).

Uniform Experiment is a new Japanese label by global trend setter Hiroshi Fujiwara and the creative director of SOPH., Hirofumi Kiyonaga. Together they have created a more mature line of clothing which involves suits and ties that are targeted towards the Japanese streetwear crowd that have grown up. Honeyee has conducted an interview on the duo about their thoughts and inspiration behind Uniform Experiment. Legendary skateboard graphic artist Jim Phillips has teamed up with the crew at Made by Monsters to produce another collaborative effort. The trucker cap includes an exaggerated shape with an embroidered Jim Phillips Eyeball logo. This Signature Series cap is limited to 50 pieces worldwide.
Arkitip has teamed up with New York’s Chinatown Soccer Club to offer some of the recreational club’s gear up for sale. Comprised of characters from different backgrounds, the club has become a haven for those looking for fun game of kick around with a diverse set of people. Last year’s Supreme x Neighborhood presented a small but strong collection. More then a year later, the two are set to release a new limited edition collection. Within the collection are a black M65, stadium jacket (three colorways available), selvedge denim, full-zip hoodie, New Era 59Fifty and two t-shirts. The collection also includes a Vans “Troops of Tomorrow” Collection of SK8-HIs and Chukkas. The t-shirts bear original photography by filmmaker Larry Clark. New York and Los Angeles Supreme stores will release their products on December 28th.
When the Nike Free system first released, it was slated to be a great training device for athletes with benefits seen from increased strength in your feet and legs. The lack of support in the Free midsole forced the development of muscles often neglected due to overly supportive footwear which had become the norm. In some absurd and bizarre way, SpongeBob SquarePants become a powerful force embraced on fake sneakers and air brushed t-shirts. In a legitimate collaboration, Bape is set to release t-shirts featuring the lovable little Milo with SpongeBob SquarePants. This tee will be available on January 2nd, 2008.
Monocle is that sort of magazine you graduate into as you mature like a fine wine. Gone are the scantily clad women and talks of how to get girls in bed and in come the globally encompassing discussions of business, politics and life. Within a short period, Monocle has developed a strong following. They teamed up with Japanese bag makers Porter to produce some travel-worthy bags. Each bag shares the same simple aesthetic and quality to get you through your daily and worldly commutes.

30 years ago or so, the “King of Rock n’ Roll” Elvis Presley passed away. To commemorate the King, Medicom Toy created a Bearbrick design which fits the profile of one of Presley’s most famous associated stage looks with the famous glasses. The Bearbrick belly just so happens to fit the unfortunate state of Presley in the last few years of his life. Available in Spring of 2008.
