For the past three years, to celebrate the tri-monthly launch of each new issue, Beautiful/Decay has partnered with different brands to create issue specific, limited edition products. With the seminal release of the Deitch Projects x Beautiful/Decay Collaborative issue, a superior product collaboration was in need. “There are few clothing companies that touch on the arts as well as RVCA does, so it was a natural connection,” says B/D. What was created via these minds colliding was a crisp hooded sweatshirt that is self-explanatory. Edition of 200 hoodies produced, to be released this month.

Filmmaker Jake Davis recently did this impressive :30 spot for Nike SB. The theme of the commercial is a look into the loneliness of a dedicated skateboarder. Produced with a gloomy backdrop and slightly depressing music, the spot examines another perspective than the usual, highly energetic, no care in the world atmosphere that exists in skateboarding.
