The collection was released last Friday in LA at 181 Martel where tees, jackets, figures and “reconstruct” DRx Converse were available for purchase. Supreme has collaborated with De Martini for three new single strap shoulder messenger bag.
The messenger bag as we know it today, however, originated in the 1950s or thereabouts, being produced as a bag for telephone linemen, by Globe Canvas/De Martini in New York. The linemen needed a bag they could easily access while climbing telephone poles, and this design worked perfectly.
Minimal and durable these new bags will be a welcome addition to anyone who loves the old roots of the downtown scene…
