About the VIVO Foundation

The VIVO Foundation was created by Kobe Bryant to assist those in need who have a desire to succeed, particularly children and young adults, by providing them with th necessary tools to achieve their that they might not otherwise have. The VIVO Foundation is commited to offering them resources and opportunities that will make a positive and meaningful difference in their life.

One of the VIVO Foundations first initiatives is to it’s VIVO DEL MONDO program. The goal of the program is to provide African American and Hispanic college students with an international travel experience that will offer a broader and expanded context from which to discover, explore and develop their life passions and pursuits, as well as encourage students to think, question, and formulate their own beliefs. The students can build on their common culture as they learn about a foreign culture. By experiencing the similarities and differences between American culture and Italian culture, students will not only realize the value of other cultures, but will actually learn to better manage differences between themselves.
