Without a clear reason why Nike has chosen to mesh the Air Jordan series with that of its best selling shoe the Air Force, many people were left scratching their head. With the alleged termination of the Jordan signature post 2008 and a halt on the number of retro releases this may be the next best thing? Regardless, these Playoff colorway joints are probably among the more respected of the lot thus far. Haters of the AF1 mid’s probably will pass due to the obvious anatomical similarities.

Here’s a further look into the Air Jordan x Air Force 1 Fusion pack with this hybrid Air Jordan XII x Air Force 1 sneaker. The shoe combines the classic white/black-taxi colorway seen on the XII with a quilted upper, texturized toe and special lace locks. The Fusion series will release on January 5th, 2008 at Jordan Lifestyle Accounts. Price is set at $145 USD.
