I've been looking around for a pair of high leather boots for the winter coming up, but I have been having a hard time. I am looking for a pair that are not too bulky and are a clean brown or black with a wood sole (or just low profile). The two Mark Mcnairy pictures below are an idea of what I am looking for (maybe a bit more detail would be nice If i am spending decent coin).

Really any brand/model suggestions that would help I am open to. Thanks a ton.

I like a bit more of an eccentric boot myself, but I want you to have a look at 3 pairs on this page:

The Caterpillar Orson (this must be a new release, doesn't look like the typical boots of this brand)
The Timberland on the right, just below the Caterpillar

...And the Ben Sherman Qewy Brogue Lace Up Boot. You might like that one. cool

Red Wing Iron Rangers or Wolverine 1000 Mile. Both are great quality and look great.
