Mos Def x DOOM Show

Anyone going? I'm debating it right now because its like $40 a ticket and there is a pretty good chance DOOM won't even show. At the end of the day, if Mos comes alone, it will still be dope, but I just don't know if I'm down to pay that much to see Mos perform half a set.

MF hires ppl to do concert for him. So really, when you go to a MF Doom concert, you're really listening to some random guy lip-sync an MF Doom song.

A few years ago, DOOM started doing this thing he called the Doompostors where he wouldn't come to his own shows and, instead, some random dude would show up in the mask and lip sync his stuff.

Apparently it was originally supposed to be building up to an album called "The Doomposters", but that album never came out, and instead he released "Born Like This". He has also said in interviews that he did it to get back at the industry that "scarred" him, which is a pretty lame excuse because it doesn't really do shit to the industry, it just fucks his fans out of their money.

Regardless, whether DOOM shows or not, Mos will tear it down.

Apparently Mos was super late and he only performed a few songs before a fake DOOM came on stage and lip synced a couple tracks. From what I've heard, the show started really late and was super short. Mad disrespectful to fans.

People are theorizing that the DOOMposter's hype man was in fact Daniel Dumile (AKA the real DOOM), but I dunno if thats true. We'll have to see at the TO show.

I guess you've been to a couple DOOM shows then?

I assume the TO show will be as bad as the Chi show, but I still hope otherwise.
