Fuck... this page is great. I hate to post this, but I'm getting rid of my Mamiya 7II if anyone's interested. I just can't afford MF film, so it is unfortunately going to gather dust if I don't get rid of it.

I actually had a thought that we should open this thread to Motion Films, provided that they're actually on FILM (8mm 16mm, Super 8, etc..).

Think that would be pretty cool.

yeah except nobody can afford that. and i think stuff that goes out of its way to say it was shot on film is just trying to cash in on something that they think makes them "different." unless it was like shot on imax or something then it becomes a selling point.

Well obviously it wouldn't be an everyday thing but I'm saying we shouldn't be opposed to it if it ever did get posted. And I don't think that shooting on Film is trying to be "different". That's just as bad as (common consumer) digital heads saying Film Photography is going out of the way to be "different". Some people enjoy the look of film through and through, i don't think it has anything to do with standing out.

And also, don't underestimate what people "can afford", simply because you may not be able to yourself.

Just figured out how to scan negatives from my place, all shots taken with a toy wide angle camera over the past few years.
I've recently acquired a Leica Elmar C1 point / shoot camera which I have yet to develop film for. That'll be coming sooner or later. Cheers.

If you want to give it a shot with little consequences, the Lomography Lomokino 35mm is a great try.
