This Friday sees the launch of a limited-edition collaboration between Vans, London-based streetwear brand clothsurgeon and footwear retailer Offspring, with pared-back versions of two iconic Vans silhouettes hitting the streets. The sleek takes on the Old Skool and Sk8-Hi models feature veg tan hide and suede finishes with zigzag stitch detailing courtesy of clothsurgeon.

According to clothsurgeon’s Rav Matharu, who first discovered Vans on the feet of Sean Penn’s character in Fast Times at Ridgemont High, the collaboration merges two worlds. “It’s what I do with my brand, using Saville Row sensibilities in modern streetwear shapes,” he says. “This was a conscious effort to elevate the beauty of a Vans classic shoe through luxury materials and craftsmanship.” But act fast to snap up a pair when they drop exclusively with Offspring at Selfridges, London, in store and online on Friday November 4. Plus, click below for a video teasing the collaboration on the streets of London.
