Mykki Blanco Releases "Loner" Video With PornHub and Nicola Formichetti
Music, fashion and the adult world collide.
For his first pop single, “Loner” featuring Jean Deux, Mykki Blanco linked up with PornHub and Nicola Formichetti (the artistic director of Diesel and creative force behind Lady Gaga’s “Telephone” and “Bad Romance”) for a striking music video that blends the visions of two equally provocative and iconic powerhouses. Featuring flashing strobe lights, virtual reality, loopy facial hair, wavy visuals, and outfits that look like something from a Spy Kids-meets-Willy Wonka utopia, the video explores themes of love, sexuality and isolation in the digital age. The video features Formichetti’s Nicopanda Fall/Winter 2016 collection, and is told through the lens of directors Anthony&Alex, along with CGI animation by Sam Rolfes.
“‘Loner’ is a song about misunderstanding — and more than misunderstanding it’s a song about a universal feeling of not feeling worthy enough, not feeling good enough. We as a human race go through so much and yet rarely are able to share our pain, our compromises. People only know a party persona when it comes to Mykki Blanco, with this album and with this song I want them to know who I am on the inside,” commented Mykki Blanco.
