Earlier this October, The North Face unveiled a new collection that was thought to be exclusive to Japan. It turns out that the aforesaid range is actually a new project dubbed Japan Unlimited and it’s expected to arrive stateside. Unlimited is reminiscent of the outerwear stalwart’s collaborative imprint with nanamica, THE NORTH FACE PURPLE LABEL. However, the nascent line will presumably boast contemporary silhouettes with ultra-functional features that juxtaposes the PURPLE LABEL which caters to a more retro approach, purveying more “throwback designs” as per GQ. Gone are the days when the 50-year-old mainstay’s exclusive parkas, shell jackets and technical coats from the Land of the Rising Sun are extremely hard to get.

Get a closer look at the outerwear range for The North Face Japan Unlimited above and expect the line to hit the brand’s global flagship in New York City sometime this November.
