Jay Z Places Massive Bid to Acquire Prince's Unreleased Music

[gallery columns="3"]Despite his differences with Kanye West as of late, Jay Z’s not letting the noise affect his business acumen. Today, it’s being reported that music streaming services are in a bidding war to acquire exclusive rights to the Prince’s unreleased catalogue. After his untimely passing earlier this year, a massive archive of unreleased music was discovered at the music legend’s Paisley Park estate. Jay Z recently met with Prince’s sister Tyka Nelson and her husband Maurice Phillips to put in a bid of $40 million USD for the unreleased music and in order for the deal to go through, Jay must also obtain signatures from the rest of Prince’s family and trust who are overseeing Prince’s estate. If all goes as planned, it would be a major move for TIDAL given the company’s struggles this past year.
