Backstage at Dior Homme's 2016 Fall/Winter Collection
Punk and maid influences adorn Kris Van Assche’s latest designs.
Following our look at the runway presentation for Dior Homme’s Fall/Winter 2016 collection, we went backstage to get a better look at the ensembles in detail. Featuring camel overcoats, shearling-lined leather jackets, subtle influences from Thom Browne, as well as a wealth of Fair Isle sweaters, Kris Van Assche’s designs imbued a soft punk aesthetic into familiar menswear silhouettes, while ribbon bows lent a feminine edge to the looks. Of special note are the patent leather boots, which feature a reinterpreted double monk strap over the forefoot, in what seems to be a cue from sneaker designs of late.
