Burgeoning Los Angeles label John Elliott & Co. has done well to encapsulate the minimalist, flowing, industrial sensibilities so prevalent in Southern California right now. Voted one of GQ‘s Best Menswear Designers this year, the label also recently capped its very first runway show. While it hasn’t gotten that much of attention from the fashion world, Nike’s LeBron 12 seems the perfect match with John Elliott’s aesthetics, what with its ‘future-now’ silhouette. In a bold, rather astute move, the designer tempered the armored sneaker with a glorious white upper and ice mint outsole with NIKEiD, employing this custom for his inaugural runway presentation. Is this colorway the presentation of the LeBron 12 that will elevate it to fashion’s favor? Only time will tell, but it sure is photogenic. Get some inspiration with the photo above and check out John Elliott & Co.’s current offerings on the brand site.
