Vince Staples Hits Disneyland
The Long Beach native brings his own brand of fun to the Happiest Place on Earth.
Having set tongues wagging with his proclamation that the ’90s is too overrated as a time period, Vince Staples had to blow off some steam while on a recent trip through Hong Kong to promote his debut studio double album Summertime ‘06, which is out now via Blacksmith/Artium/Def Jam. And as any self-respecting rapper knows, there’s only one way to go about that — take a trip to the “Happiest Place on Earth.” Having spent much of his childhood near the Disneyland located in Anaheim, California, Staples was compelled to check out whether the city’s own fantasy theme park could measure up to his recollections.
