'Forbes' Lists the Highest-Paid Comedians of 2015
“What’s up with all these lists?”
After we found out how much today’s top YouTube stars were making each year, we considered changing career paths. Now we’re wondering if maybe we should just become comedians. In a recent list released by Forbes, this year’s highest-paid comedians were outlined. In the top spot is New Yorker Jerry Seinfeld with $36 million USD. Despite running its last episode more than 15 years ago, the comedian’s eponymous little show about nothing continues to rake in syndication dollars, which has catapulted his earnings to earn him the #1 position on the list. Not to mention, Hulu purchased the exclusive rights for Seinfeld earlier this year in a cool $160 million USD deal. Having already appeared in Forbes back at the end of June 2009 as the world’s highest paid comedian when he earned $85 million USD for that 12-month period, Seinfeld definitely takes the soup. Check out the full list below.
