Toronto design firm Metatecture is seeking $20,000 on Kickstarter to create a device that will allow you to strap your iPad directly to your face. With the goal of bringing virtual reality headsets to the mainstream, the AirVR device will allow your iPad or iPhone 6 to slide into the headset where you view the screen through two lenses displaying imagery for both eyes. Also all the ports on the device will be left open, meaning you could connect a game controller or something similar to it. The app for the system has already been developed and if the Kickstarter is successful, the AirVR should retail for around $49 USD in early 2015. Check out the video below to learn more.
