Originally released back in 1997 to commemorate the transfer of sovereignty over Hong Kong from Great Britain to China, the aptly dubbed “Hong Kong Handover” edition of the Reebok Instapump Fury is set for a return this spring as Reebok continues to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the unique runner. Sporting a China Red/Black/Fierce Gold/White colorway, the release takes cues from both the Chinese and Hong Kong flags and juxtaposes its predominately red mesh upper with black and gold overlaying panels. Finally, a contrasting white midsole completes the look. The special edition 2014 retro of the “Hong Kong Handover” Instapump Fury is due out March 31 via Tokyo’s atmos and will likely hit additional Reebok stockists in limited quantities.
