When we first caught glimpse of the Vans Classics Mountain Edition or “MTE” collection, we were only aware of the few Sk8-His, Eras and apparel that we featured. Today however, the skatewear pioneer adds to the winter-ready pack with two new pairs of Old Skool models. Each classic is rebuilt with an extended lug outsole for maximum traction, a warm liner, a heat retention board between the insole and outsole, and an upper treated with Scotchgard to repel water. Available in two colorways – Black/Tobacco Brown and Decadent Chocolate/Tobacco Brown – the Vans Classics 2014 holiday Old Skool MTE collection will be available this month at select retailers for $75 USD a pair.
