Having linked up with Danny Brown to check out the rapper’s favorite barber shop, Big Baby Burgers, and the Motor City’s Brown-built skatepark before making his way to Dearborn – home to the highest Middle Eastern population per capita outside of the Middle East – in parts 1 and 2, respectively, VICE and Eddie Huang present the third part of Fresh Off The Boat‘s look at Detroit. Here the chef and New York Times bestselling author spends a day with local Allan Hill – a born-again Christian living in the abandoned Packard plant, a place he’s called home for the past seven years. Throughout the episode, Huang checks out mystery-meat pastries and homemade yogurt before visiting a local soup kitchen and discussing the current state of affairs in the Motor City.
