For FACTOTUM‘s 2014 spring/summer collection, Koji Udo ventured into the depths of Finland’s schooling system for inspiration. Via visits to the economic and political departments of the Aalto and Jyvaskyla institutions, Udo translated the austere dispositions and environments he encountered into a unique collection. Through the use of traditional and technical fabrications, the collection blends formal tailoring with casual wear — think blazers and tapered trousers paired with bright-colored sneakers and loafers with sports socks. With nods to ’70s sportswear design juxtaposed with timeless cut & sew, the collection exhibits Udo’s design philosophy, which is nothing short of meticulous.
