LRG Launches New Footwear Collection for 2012 Fall/Winter

LRG, or Lifted Research Group, describes itself as ”underground inventive, overground effective.” For Fall/Winter 2012, the lifestyle label’s inaugural footwear collection takes the slogan to heart, encompassing outdoor, athletic, and casual inspirations for a selection of functional hybrids and high-end, reinterpreted takes on classics. Drawing upon a street aesthetic as the primary filter for their silhouettes, the range includes high-tops, chukkas and hiking boots styles crafted in materials as diverse as Nappa leather, ballistic nylon and camouflage canvas. Included among the standouts are the Iroko, a 6″ hiker featuring Prime power suede and Nappa leather uppers, along with a heel stabilizer and XL padding; and the Alder, a boot/chukka mashup in full-grain nubuck and leather.
