Thom Browne 2013 Spring/Summer Collection
Thom Browne’s creative process has created some genuinely eye-opening examples over the years. Yet his most recent is arguably his boldest color statement to date. A good degree of Thom Browne’s usual application of prep is evident – except for the palette. Several different colorfully woven madras and plaids are just the tip of the preppy iceberg as Browne goes several steps further to incorporate a strong degree of fun with whale- and lobster-based patterns. Browne’s careful balance of the past which saw progressive profiles with timeless usage of his signature colors sees a distinct flip. The tailoring is very much classic yet as you would imagine, the colors and applications are the defining point of the range.
