Azealia Banks announces title and release date of debut album

Details on one of the arguably most anticipated music debuts in 2012 have emerged this weekend as Azealia Banks has revealed the title and the (approximate) release date of her debut album. In an interview with NYLON MAGAZINE, the Harlemite disclosed that the LP will be called Broke With Expensive Taste and should hit physical and digital shelves in September. The piece is set to carry a lyrical theme that would be “a young girl trying to find it,” which basically means embarking on the road to riches.

“Success! Herself! Her path! The young girl trying to make it! That girl who’s at the end of her childhood trying to get a job and make some money, you know? She needs to get what she can get! She needs to go out there and show people she knows how to work for it.”
