Renowned for its brand of original headwear designs, Kangol returns for Spring/Summer 2010 with a well put together lookbook, kicking off a new range of styles. Although most remain sophisticated with an added touch of modern styling, the photography utilized within the feature really captures this season’s theme, fusing a contemporary element within the timeless nature of Kangol’s traditional aesthetic.

I know this campaign is supposed to be dystopian and futuristic, but it seems more LA/Cokewhore than anything in spite of its NYC Chinatown backdrop. I’m glad to see that Kangol, isn’t spending too much time dwelling on their 1980′s heyday, but a little finesse and craftsmanship would help to steer this company into the future. At this point, it seems that Kangol can’t do anything more than what they’ve already done and people are just grasping for straws when it comes to reasons why anyone should care about this company anymore. Nostalgia is the poor man’s Novocaine.

It would be dope if Kangol took it back to the roots..kind of like how Burberry did their ‘Art of Trench’ campaign. I remember growing up in Boston Roxbury (87 – 89) they had a store where my bro would always go to get the Kangols.

    Sorry. This is really weak.
Kangol could do SO much better.
