I get sad feeling from this for very different reasons. The only reason Dubai is not failing currently is because its being built with oil money. I see this beautifull skyline being replaced by concrete and steele. This scene with the tourists taking pics reminds of the Empire State building. I wasn’t there but I’m sure NYC had a great skyline in 1914. He shows alot of urban sprall making the people look like bacteria eating up the land. While cutting edge and beautifull, 20 to 30 years from now(when the oil runs dry, which is why they are doing this) this will be a smog filled tourist attraction at best. Nobody swims in the Hudson.
