Phenomenon 2010 Spring/Summer Lookbook

January 24, 2010Uncategorizedby L. Ruano24 Views

Phenomenon expands on its avant-garde streetwear aesthetic with its Spring/Summer 2010 lookbook, which is only slightly less bizarre than the one from last season. Although we offered a glimpse into the product the other day, we now get a more cohesive look as the garments are styled appropriately within the extensive fashion imagery. If the Japanese brand offers a style that can only be pulled off by few, its strange yet unique vision certainly represents a strong theme throughout the past seasons.

    @Tokyo Astro Boy

    Yeah, one can often see people wearing fashion similar to this wild-looking style in Tokyo and Osaka and perhaps other cities in Japan.

    Not the case in America, Canada and other “western” countries. It’s funny how there’s this ‘urge to conform’ feeling in Japan and freedom to express oneself true feelings in Japan is not acceptable, but fashion style like this is somewhat alright…

    AND ‘freedom of speech’ is waved around in North America but when people dress differently, fingers are pointed and people spit out negative things.

    FUNNY WORLD we live in

    most of this stuff isn’t even that out there, just standard stuff with extensive attention to detail. some of the outfits are a bit crazy but styled with stuff most people have in their waredrobe this collection for the better half is very wearable. the pointelle knitwear is great as is there treatment to some of the denim.

    Well, a certain group of Japanese young folk would. Look up TUNE or FRUITS.
    I’m currently working in Osaka and I DO see peopel dress up like these male-models.

    Phenomenon IS being run by Japanese people, right?

    Obviously the rest of the world, the general populace of the “street-fashion” world would never wear such apparel.

    I like to think that they’re aiming for people who are a little more open-minded, the brave folk.
