Los Angeles artist Donny Miller lends his artistic hand to a new set of Slip-ons from the Vans Vault Spring 2010 line. Two colorways are seen, each featuring a play off the timeless Vans Slip-on silhouette with the addition of laces. Both feature a denim-like look in overall simple schemes. Look for a drop in the coming months via Vans Vault stockists.

    vagabond–
The Marc Jacobs Vans were more cartoony (in a very indicative MJ style). So, no, it hasn’t been done before, at least not exactly like this. These definitely have Donny Miller flair, and if you were actually familiar with artists’ styles–no matter what your definition of “reputable” is–you would’ve figured that out.

They look decent from overhead, but I bet from the side they’re completely unconvincing and are as obvious as every other pair of slip ons. Not really a big fan of slip ons, if you’re under 70 and over 5 your shoes should have laces.

i would like them better if they had real laces instead of just pictures of laces.
