Converse Japan give us an update as to what’s on deck for their 2009 August releases. With each release, you can imagine the focus is often undoubtedly on the Chuck Taylor All Star. However we do see some nice variations of the Jack Purcell this time around which includes the Race Around RJ Leather and the RLY 2 DRZ. Available soon at select Converse Japan retailers.

[...] Converse Japan has a nice touch when it comes to updating the One Star’s classic designs. For August 2009, they give us a ton of new Chuck Taylor All Star hightops plus two ack Purcell-like lowtops called the Race Around RJ Leather and RLY 2 DRZ. As you might expect, the RLY 2 DRZ feature ‘RLY’ written on the midsole below the bottom eyelets, while the Race Arounds share a similar swooping side panel, but are indeed leather.
