Pony 2009 Spring/Summer Collection Part 1
by Staff, March 27, 2009

Well on their way to a solid return to the footwear industry, Pony has been growing season to season as the brand under a young and enthusiastic team look to re-invent themselves all while paying homage to their roots. Positioning themselves as someone who embraces both the past and the present, their collection boast some interesting sub-collections as they aim to maintain philosophies such as wearability, uniqueness in construction and the juxtaposition of materials. Their lifestyle component is divided into the PLAY and Vintage collections. While the Vintage collection speaks for itself, the PLAY series revolves around combining unassuming performance with lifestyle and retro aesthetics. Aside from the in-line series, designs themes revolve around the Great Outdoors, Inside Out, the Futuristic 80s and “Well-Suited”, based on traditional suit fabrics. Another notable piece is the collaboration piece with Shaun Neff of Neff which includes a signature icon seen on the tongue of the Signature model. The styles seen here include the MVP (Inside Out), Feed the Cat Mid (Great Outdoors) and the Well-Suited Special Blend. For more information, check Pony.com.

It’s about time Pony dumped that athletic $hit and got on the real.
Much Love. If they aren’t back in the game yet they will be after this collection hits the market. Covered everything needed to create a nasty collection. Material, colors, etc. Good work!
