Having already executed the Angel theme on a set of Air Maxs some years back, Nike decided to add both arch enemies together into an SB Dunk release. The kicks receive Nike’s premium treatment with a nice medley of material choices and special detailing including the Angel/Devil graphic insoles and tag detailing. The kicks are available now at select Nike SB dealers including Kix-Files.

The factory mistake is bullshit, some chinese guy just pulled ant insoles out of his ass? They were about to bring a weak ass shoe and switched the easiest part to change (the insole) so they could unload it on yall. You’re not going to skate in them anyway so what does it matter if you skateboard.

I won’t go into a big rant about demographics and core customers, I’ll just say this the Nike Sb line has transformed in such a way that it has chased away both original customers and anyone who might want to consider jumping in. In this economic climate, i wouldn’t be surprised if this division or Nike 6.0 gets dissolved. They just don’t seem to be pulling their weight and i don’t think a corporation can afford that right now.

I somewhat agree sawone that they are the best skating sneaker but the sneakerhead community didnt ruin them its just that if you look at who NIke has disiging there sneakers now its completely diffrent people also the guy who runs the sb line is diffrent to its like Nike doesnt want to pay to get the people who are actually going to put effort into making them Nike Sb needs to get intouch with the skaters again and the sneakerheads im both I havent seen a nice Sb in awhile these are OK but they need to make a comeback hopefully it will happen again
usually don’t like what i see in the blog response sections but SawOne has given a very insightful response. these companies forget who their core market is and begin to cater to those outside of their demographic who have no loyalty to the brand whatsoever. they keep chasing these flighting trends and end up in the wind. supra will find themselves in the same predicament if they aren’t careful.

dunks are the best shoes to shred staight out of the box. doesn’t matter if its SB, 6.0, or GR. they are all good for shralping. As for tngues not puffy enough? you obviously don’t skate, and if you want to skate with some dope prison pillow tongues go get yourself some osiris D-3’s and you’ll be super cool.
this is why SB is trash now. Kevin I, and the other dudes at SB have become so engulfed in pleasing the “sneakerhead” community that theyve lost touch with what real kids that skate these shoes want. They (SB) need to get with the program and go back to how it used to be. straight suede/nubuck action leather, 2-3 colors per shoe and no more f**king corny ass theme’s.

It’s funny how this is an SB (SKATEBOARD) shoe and kik-files doesn’t even carry skateboards, kind of ironic. Are SB’s actually for skateboarders? Limited SB’s should be sold at skateboard shops.

I’m amazed that a lot of you are so easily swayed to part with your hard earned cash in this economic climate. For the past year or two I haven’t seen a single SB that has impressed me as much as the pink and silver boxes, and these are no different. Uninspired, poor choice of palette, and barely premium materials.
As for skateboarding in SBs, that’s just plain silly. That’s what 6.0s were created for, because the whole SB lineup (save the P-Rods) are wholly unsuitable for skateboarding and much more useful as fashion items. The tongues aren’t stiff or puffed enough, the toe box is too soft, the soles lack support, and the sides and heel are too weak as well.

Yeah these look pretty good, but they simply changed the insoles on the ants that were leaked last december. The fact that they are a reworked ant shoe, makes it clear that the idea of the Angel and the Devil wasn’t there from square one and that takes away from design of the shoe. I agree with DJ Reen, the Twin Peaks are the hottest shoe SB has come out with so far this year. Even if you don’t like the colorway, the little touches like the numbers on the inside of the wings or the black and white zigzag insole were planned and well thought out.

definately the best sb release in recent memory, but i probably still wont cop. Im just so out of the whole SB movement now. I do feel that shoes could have been better tho. The colorway is real nice with the blue/black and hints of red, but ida rather had the tongue black leaving the toe cap blue and a different material for the black…maybe a patent leather croc skin type…wait thatll look like tiffs haha
